Sheffield has previously been named ‘the UK’s Friendliest city, and it’s not hard to see why. Whilst it’s one of the UK’s largest cities, it also boasts a chilled-out ‘small-town’ vibe, making it a fantastic place to live. This is further enhanced by how much green space there is within the city. Serene and beautiful, there aren’t many better ways to pass the time between lectures than taking a wander through Sheffield park. Chill out with a beer in the summer, or with the snow in the winter – there’s few better spaces in the country (although we may be slightly biased).

Stop in at the infamous West Street Live, for the ultimate place to drink on a student budget, or head around the corner to Carver Street, where you’ll find some of the most lively bars and pubs in the city.
