You get a private, lockable bedroom with your own bathroom, all bills included, and a choice of tenancy lengths, from a few months to the full year. Inside Your Classic En-Suite
Your room comes fully furnished with a ¾ bed, a desk and chair for study sessions, and your own en suite bathroom, so there’s no queuing in the morning. Central heating keeps things cosy through Teesside winters, and your bedroom door locks for extra peace of mind. You’ll share a self-catered kitchen with a cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave, which is ideal for batch-cooking with flatmates or a quick meal between lectures.
Getting to Campus and Beyond
Mandale Terrace is on Mandale Road in Thornaby, making it convenient student accommodation near Queen’s Campus. The Durham University International Study Centre at Queen’s Campus is around 15 minutes’ walk away. Stockton Riverside College is also close by in Thornaby. Thornaby station is just a few minutes on foot, with regular trains to Middlesbrough for Teesside University (around three miles away), and onward links to York, Newcastle and beyond. Stockton High Street is a short bus ride across the river.
Life Around Mandale Terrace
When the books close, there’s plenty to explore. Try white water rafting or paddleboarding at the Tees Barrage International White Water Centre, catch live music or comedy at the restored Art Deco Stockton Globe, or take a slower afternoon wandering the parkland and Victorian street at Preston Park Museum & Grounds. Shops, cafés and takeaways are on your doorstep along Mandale Road and in Thornaby town centre.
